Flex-lag® Ceramic Pulley Lagging was the specified product of choice for this large mine site in the Pilbara, Western Australia. After 20 years in an unforgiving iron ore environment, that pulley lagging is still providing positive traction and no slippage.
The serpentine drive that was used on the recycling belts at a paper plant was experiencing a lot of slippage on the drive pulley because of the water involved in the process. Once Flex-Lag® Weld-On™ Ceramic Pulley Lagging was installed, both the slippage and mistracking issues were resolved, extending the life of the belt and ensuring the product stays on the belt.
Cold, wet conditions were the culprit in the case of conveyor belt slippage at an aggregate plant. Flex-Lag® Ceramic Pulley Lagging was brought in to cover the drive pulley face with 3/4" (19 mm) square tiles of high-grade alumina ceramic, molded into a flame-resistant rubber backing bonded onto the drum surface, providing maximum traction and minimizing wear.
The installation of Flex-Lag® Weld-On™ Rubber Lagging has made a big difference at a Midwest aggregates operation by decreasing issues with cleaner compatibility and the maintenance downtime needed to replace blades.
